Merlimont, plage.

Located north of Berck.
You drive from Berck over the D940 in the direction of Merlimont. In the village you must turn of in the direction of Merlimont Plage. Drive trough until you reach the boulevard, there you must turn left in the direction of a sailing club. You park the car there and then you walk over the beach in the direction of Berck. You see the bunker already lying on the beach., if the wetter is good you see two more bunker complexes lying further on the beach. In the dunes behind the bunker on the beach you can find two shelters.

Follow the D940 from Berck towards Merlimont, in the village turn left to the beach, after 500m, near a green spot between the houses and a white electricity building there is an entrance into the dunes.

The first visible bunker is the 669 that is in a bad shape. In front of the bunker is a very rare Westwall design bunker type, a 128 personnel bunker for two groups ( bigger version of the 127 at Berck-Plage). It has two covered entrances and a periscope tube at the roof. The inside looks still nice with some texts, armoured parts and (sliding)doors.
